Adjust an object's brightness and contrast

Adjust an object's brightness and contrast

To let Microsoft PhotoDraw adjust brightness and contrast for you, click Automatic at the bottom of the Color workpane. To adjust your results, you can restore your object to its original color and use the following procedure to adjust brightness and contrast manually.

  1. On the workspace or in the picture list, select the objects or grouped objects you want to modify.

  2. On the Color menu, click Brightness and Contrast.

  3. Do one or both of the following:

  4. To make the object lighter or darker, move the Brightness slider or enter a value in the Brightness box.

  5. To increase or decrease the objectÆs contrast, move the Contrast slider or enter a value in the Contrast box.

For Help on an option, press SHIFT+F1, and then click the option.

Tip   If you want to adjust brightness or contrast in only part of an object ù for example, an area of grass in a photo of a park ù you can selectively modify the brightness or contrast.
